When I began working on my series of Crosby portraits, I wanted to capture more than just a likeness. I wanted to capture the intensity that defines his style of play. The focus in his eyes, the determination in his expression, and the energy he brings to the field all became central elements of the artwork.

As an artist, portraying that kind of intensity requires careful attention to detail. The shadows and highlights in a face can convey emotion just as much as the expression itself. Strong contrasts help emphasize the grit and determination that make Crosby such a dominant defensive presence for the Las Vegas Raiders.
