I grew up happily in the rural town of Tracy, California. It was in the fourth grade when people first began talking about my natural ability to draw. That encouragement inspired me to keep drawing and painting. I spent many joyful hours trying to impress my folks with my artwork.

  Over time, I discovered how much I loved making people gasp — amazed by the realism I infused into my drawings. In high school, I became the cartoonist and later the Editor in Chief of our school newspaper, combining my love of storytelling and visual art.

  In 1986, with my parents’ blessing, I moved to Las Vegas. By then, art had become more than a passion — it was essential to my happiness and peace of mind. I began framing artwork for upscale galleries and eventually opened a studio at an established art gallery.

  While working in the studio, I focused more on colored pencil work and began accepting commissions from collectors across the country. A notable milestone was designing the official posters and t-shirts for MGM Grand’s inaugural Grand Slam of Boxing event. I also sold original Wizard of Oz drawings in the MGM Grand’s gift shop.

  In 2000, I struck out on my own and began painting murals and faux finishing walls for businesses and homes throughout the Las Vegas valley. That grew into a successful decorative painting business, which I ran for several years.

  In recent years, I’ve focused on portraiture — creating realistic drawings and paintings of celebrities, athletes, musicians, and, of course, friends and family. These pieces combine technical precision with emotional expression, and they reflect my passion for people, character, and storytelling.

  As I unveil new artwork on my website, I look forward to sharing my passion with collectors and anyone who enjoys what I do.
